Solutions / Talent development and leadership

Stop promoting people into management and hoping for the best.

Leadership development programs that build real management capability, on purpose.

Promoting your best individual contributor into management does not automatically make them a leader — it just makes them a manager with no training. We design leadership development curricula, cohorts, and learning paths that build real management capability at scale, from first-time supervisors to senior directors. Grow leaders on purpose, not by accident.

Signals you have this problem

  • Leadership development is a budget line, not a curriculum.
  • Managers at different levels receive the same generic training.
  • Your strongest technical people become your weakest managers.
  • Development happens when someone requests it rather than by design.

What the engagement looks like

  1. Define the levels

What a first-time supervisor, a manager of managers, and a director each need to be able to do. They are not the same list.

  2. Build the curriculum

Sequenced learning paths per level, drawing on the workshop catalogue and built out where it does not reach.

  3. Run cohorts

Peer groups moving through together, because managers learn as much from each other as from the material.

  4. Measure capability

Assessment before and after, and manager effectiveness data, rather than a satisfaction score collected in the room.

Common questions

How large does an organization need to be for this?

Cohort programs work from roughly fifteen managers upward. Below that, coaching and targeted workshops usually deliver more per dollar than a formal curriculum.

How long does a program run?

Most cohorts run six to twelve months with sessions spaced to allow practice in between. Compressed programs produce recall; spaced ones produce behavior.

Can this build on training we already run?

Yes, and it usually should. The common problem is not missing content but unsequenced content, where nobody knows what a manager should learn first.

Next step

Design your leadership program.

A short conversation is usually enough to tell whether coaching, training, or assessment is the right starting point.
